Sayyed al-Houthi calls on Islamic countries to boycott US over Holy Quran insults

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Yemen’s Ansarullah movement leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said that the repeated U.S. and Israeli insults against the Holy Quran reveal clear hostility toward the divine message, stressing that the insult to the Quran is part of hostile acts and conspiracies targeting Muslims.

In a statement on Thursday regarding the latest U.S. insult against the Holy Quran, Sayyed al-Houthi said that the failure of the Islamic world to take effective action to prevent such insults represents a grave dereliction and a serious sin, warning of its dangerous consequences for the Muslim nation.

Sayyed al-Houthi stressed that Islamic countries could, if they adopted a serious official position involving political and economic boycotts, exert pressure on the United States and Western countries to stop insulting the Holy Quran.

He also called on Muslim peoples to activate an economic boycott of U.S. goods and products from countries that support Zionist criminal activities, considering this capable of forcing them to stop such insults.

The movement’s leader called on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with the Holy Quran, uphold its sanctity and deepen their understanding of its teachings.

He praised the Yemeni people’s stance in confronting insults against the Quran through demonstrations, awareness activities and economic boycotts.

Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi also called for the issue of insults against the Holy Quran to be among the main topics addressed in activities and events marking the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday (Al Mawlid al-Nabawi).
