Pakistani army declare killing of 5 militants in Balochistan operation

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 10 (YPA) – Pakistani security forces announced on Monday the killing of five militants during a security operation in the southwest of the country.

They explained that the operation was carried out in the Panjgur district of Balochistan province based on intelligence information, and that a quantity of weapons in the militants’ possession was seized during it, according to the Qatar News Agency. They indicated that the dead belonged to banned groups.

On Sunday, Pakistani forces had announced the killing of 15 militants in ongoing security operations in the southwest of the country.

For years, Pakistan has continued to launch operations against armed groups active in the border and mountainous regions of the north and southwest of the country.
