Video: Tariq Al-Awadhi reveals shocking details of casualties in Marib camp attack

SANAA, Aug. 7 (YPA) – Tariq Al-Awadhi, a prominent Yemeni activist and brother of General People’s Congress (GPC) leader Yasser Al-Awadhi, has disclosed shocking details of the devastating attack on a Saudi military camp in Marib, outlining the scale of the human and material losses allegedly suffered by Saudi-backed Emergency Forces and soldiers.

In a post on Facebook, al-Awadhi said that the attack struck more than 50 locations rather than a single target.

He added that over 11,000 personnel had assembled to collect their salaries and complete biometric registration procedures as part of ongoing Saudi and Yemeni government preparations to mobilize forces for operations against areas controlled by the Sanaa government.

According to al-Awadhi, the gathering included 1,650 newly graduated recruits who were assembled together when a ballistic missile struck the center of the formation, causing catastrophic casualties.

He further claimed that the attack involved more than 17 ballistic missiles launched simultaneously, in addition to over 100 drones targeting troop concentrations and weapons depots.

Al-Awadhi indicated that the death toll and number of wounded had exceeded 1,600 people, saying he would release further details as information from the scene becomes available.
