SANAA, Aug. 06 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council in Sanaa affirmed today preemptive strikes carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces against Saudi troop concentrations in Al-Ruwaik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and other military camps successfully foiled a Saudi plan to launch a ground offensive.
In an official statement released today, the Council commended the Armed Forces’ large-scale operation against Saudi enemy troop concentrations in Al-Ruwaik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and other military camps, saying “preemptive vigilance foiled a Saudi plan to launch a ground offensive, destabilize the internal front, and obstruct efforts to end the 12-year blockade.”
The Council reaffirmed that “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” remains in force, and any hostile mobilization will be met with painful strikes.
Expressing full support for the armed forces in confronting any new escalation, the Council stressed that the Saudi ground and naval mobilizations will not deter our people from pursuing their legitimate rights and ending the injustice against them.
It held the Saudi regime fully responsible for the consequences of this escalation, calling on Riyadh to lift the blockade, end its aggression, and respect the rights of the Yemeni people.
