Iran reveals Hormuz Strait talks with Oman making positive progress

TEHRAN, Aug. 04 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said negotiations with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz are progressing positively at both the technical and political levels.

In a statement, Baghaei said the talks are being held between the two littoral states to establish future mechanisms for managing navigation through the strategic waterway while safeguarding the sovereign rights and national security of both countries.

He added that Tehran would announce the final outcome of the negotiations once they are concluded.
