Palestinian killed, ten injured in Israeli strike on central Gaza Strip

GAZA, Aug. 01 (YPA) – At least one Palestinian was killed and ten others were injured in an Israeli strike on the central Gaza Strip on Friday night, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

According to WAFA, an Israeli combat drone struck a motorbike in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, claiming the life of a Palestinian.

The agency added that another strike hit a residential building to the east of the Nuseirat refugee camp, injuring ten Palestinians.

The victims were rushed to Al-Awda Medical Complex.

Israeli occupation has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 73,341 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 174,086 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed at least 1,214 Palestinians and injured at least 3,977 others. The bodies of 804 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.
