Ansarullah official denies plans to impose fees on vessels passing through Bab al-Mandab

SANAA, July 30 (YPA) – Hizam al-Asad, a member of the Sanaa Shura Council and a member of the Political Bureau of the Ansarullah movement in Yemen, has denied reports that Sanaa is reconsidering imposing transit fees on vessels passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

In a statement, al-Asad said that the naval military operations in the Red Sea are strictly limited to enforcing a maritime ban on Saudi vessels.

He added that the ban on Saudi shipping in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden will remain in effect until the comprehensive blockade on Yemen is lifted.
