Sanaa forces refute Saudi narrative, expose effectiveness of its defense systems

SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – A military source at the Ministry of Defense in Sanaa on Monday dismissed statements issued by the Saudi Defense and Foreign Ministries.

The source characterized these statements as an attempt to cover up the failure of Saudi air defense systems in intercepting Yemeni drones that successfully struck their targets.

According to the state-run Saba News Agency in Sanaa, the source stated that Yemen has shown patience for years regarding Saudi violations throughout the de-escalation phase. The source added that Saudi Arabia must respect Yemen’s sovereignty and independence, and bear full responsibility for any violations it commits.

“The Saudi enemy must end the blockade on the Yemeni people by opening airports and ports, facilitating trade, releasing prisoners, respecting Yemen’s sovereignty, and upholding its right to utilize oil resources to pay salaries and provide basic services,” the source said.
