Sanaa forces shoot down Saudi Turkish-made drone

SANAA, July 26 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based armed forces announced on Sunday that their air defenses had shot down a Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı armed reconnaissance drone.

Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie, the military spokesman, said that the Saudi-operated drone was downed while it was carrying out hostile activities over Jawf Governorate.

He affirmed that the forces had successfully shot down Bayraktar Akıncı drone using an appropriate weapon.

The spokesman added that the armed forces remain committed to countering any attempt to violate Yemen’s sovereignty, stressing that they possess the capabilities and resources necessary to do so.
