Al-Houthi escalates his rhetoric toward Saudi Arabia, its local allies

SANAA, July 22 (YPA) – Member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, on Wednesday significantly escalated his rhetoric toward Saudi Arabia and its local allies in Yemen, issuing a warning of further escalation and saying that “the equation has changed.”

In a post on his account on the “X” platform, Al-Houthi wrote: “The equation has changed, and those who want to verify it should calculate the result of 7×30=..,” without explaining the meaning behind the ambiguous calculation, sparking speculation over the message he intended to convey.

He added that “the proxy will remain defiant despite the US realization that the equation is no longer in its favor,” referring to what he described as “local drums” that would continue, in his words, “beating as mercenaries in search of petty gains.”
