TEHRAN, July 22 (YPA) – The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said it has attacked the central data infrastructure belonging to the US firm Amazon in Bahrain.
According to a statement posted on the IRGC’s information website on Tuesday, the Amazon data center was struck with several cruise missiles, in continuation of the 24th wave of Operation Nasr-2, and in response to Sunday’s US attack on an under-construction nuclear power plant and the civilian population in Darkhovin.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched its Middle East (Bahrain) Region in July 2019 as its first cloud region in the Middle East. AWS said the Bahrain region consists of three Availability Zones and serves customers seeking lower-latency cloud infrastructure in the region.
