Iran’s Military Headquarters warns: Attacking Iran’s nuclear sites would mean expansion of war

TEHRAN, July 22 (YPA) – Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command warned that Iran considers any US attack on the country’s nuclear facilities as an expansion of war, Iran’s  Tasnim News Agency reported.

The top military command said in a statement that the “criminal US” has threatened to attack the nuclear and sensitive centers of Islamic Iran.

“If the aggressive and terrorist army of that country enters such a stage, we consider it as an expansion of war in the region and all the interests of America and the allies and supporters of that rogue and evil country will be the target of powerful strikes by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” it warned.

The warning came after US President Donald Trump said, during a meeting with Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun, that the United States would target Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site “pretty soon.”
