Researcher warns of unprecedented escalation at Al-Aqsa next Thursday aimed at imposing new Judaization reality
OCCUPIED QUDS, July 21 (YPA) – Fakhri Abu Diab, a Jerusalemite researcher and member of the Board of Trustees of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has warned of the danger surrounding calls by extreme Temple groups for a large-scale storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound next Thursday.
The calls, marking the Jewish fast day of Tisha B’Av (“Destruction of the Temple”), aim to mobilize 5,000 Zionist settlers to consolidate a Jewish presence and impose new facts on the ground toward the Judaization of the site.
Abu Diab emphasized that these moves are being carried out with direct support and coordination between the Israeli occupation government and its official institutions, aimed at altering the historical and legal status quo and transforming Al-Aqsa into a Jewish temple and synagogue. He noted that Israeli occupation authorities have already begun facilitating the plan by imposing restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, emptying the mosque and its surroundings, closing access roads to the Old City, and militarizing the area.
The researcher called for intensifying the Palestinian presence (Ribat) at Al-Aqsa and its environs, describing it as the first line of defense to counter Judaization attempts and thwart settler plans.
