Supreme Political Council: Response to Saudi aggression and blockade will be direct and reciprocal

SANAA, July 17 (YPA) – Yemen’s Supreme Political Council in Sanaa said it was closely monitoring Saudi Arabia’s latest escalation following the attack on Sanaa International Airport.

In a statement, the council described the Saudi enemy’s attack on Sanaa Airport is a new crime aimed at denying Yemenis their basic rights to travel and medical treatment.

The Council condemned the continued aggression and blockade, holding the Saudi government fully responsible for the resulting consequences and warning that it would face the repercussions if they continue.

It reaffirmed that the response to the Saudi aggression and blockade will be direct and reciprocal, in line with the deterrence equations announced by the Leader of Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi: “Airports for airports, ports for ports, blockade for blockade, and comprehensive escalation for comprehensive escalation.”

The Council stressed Yemen’s rights to sovereignty, freedom, operating its vital facilities, and exploiting its national resources are non-negotiable sovereign rights.

It also accused Saudi Arabia of pursuing a policy of domination that serves the US-Israeli project aimed at subjugating the region and targeting its independent forces.

The Supreme Political Council called on Yemenis in Sanaa and other provinces to join Friday’s “Warning and Mobilization” million-man rally.

The Council renewed its commitment to continue defending Yemen’s sovereignty, independence, and freedom, pledging to pursue the Yemeni people’s legitimate rights until the blockade is lifted and the aggression ends.
