IRGC announces downing of US “MQ-1” drone in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, July 14 (YPA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Monday evening that its Aerospace Force air defense system intercepted and destroyed a US ‘MQ-1’ drone over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the IRGC-affiliated Sepah News, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was targeted and destroyed by the Aerospace Force’s air defense system, which operates within Iran’s comprehensive integrated air defense network.
