Gunmen attack Saudi-backed national security headquarters in Abyan

ABYAN, July 14 (YPA) – Gunmen launched a major attack on a Saudi-backed National Security Forces headquarters in the Lawder district of Yemen’s Abyan province on Tuesday, local security sources reported.

According to the sources, the assailants stormed the security compound using hand grenades and automatic weapons, resulting in the deaths and injuries of several National Security personnel stationed at the facility.

Following the attack, the gunmen fled the scene after inflicting casualties among the security forces, the sources added.

No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
