DAMASCUS, July 10 (YPA) – An Israeli occupation patrol of three vehicles crossed into the Syrian territory this morning, where it headed to the road leading to Saysoun and Jamleh villages in Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, near the occupied Syrian Golan, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
According to SOHR, the patrol members established a makeshift military checkpoint at the same road, where they inspected passers-by and checked their IDs. The patrol withdrew nearly an hour later.
It added that the latest incursion is part of an escalating pattern of Israeli violations and sustained military operations along the Syrian border with the occupied Golan Heights, amid the complete failure of government forces and allied factions to deter the incursions or take effective measures to protect the area and its residents.
