OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, July 09 (YPA) – Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz asserted that the occupation forces do not need permission from anyone to remain in southern Lebanon, responding to statements by US President Donald Trump suggesting the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied areas in the south.
In a statement, the Israeli Defense Ministry said that Katz emphasized that “Israel” did not request permission to enter Lebanon and will not request permission to remain there, claiming that the military presence aims to protect Israeli settlers.
He added that the occupation forces will continue to remain in what he called the “security zone” in southern Lebanon, and will continue their military operations from there until Hezbollah is completely disarmed, as he claimed, and the threat to the residents of the northern occupied territories is removed.
