Hebrew media: “Israel” launches “Cow Company” project in southern Syria

OCCUPIED QUDS, July 04 (YPA) – Hebrew media revealed a project dubbed the “Cow Company” initiative, aimed at strengthening Israel’s presence in an area of southern Syria under the control of the Israeli military as part of a new security strategy to consolidate control along the border.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, “Israel” has launched a project involving the deployment of around 140 head of cattle in an area near Wadi al-Raqad in Daraa countryside , southern Syria to reinforce its presence there.

The newspaper said the project covers approximately 10,000 dunams behind the border fence and includes the construction of livestock fencing as part of a security strategy based on the principle of “permanent presence” to keep Syrian shepherds away and prevent infiltration.

The newspaper added that Israeli military officials view the project as a way to entrench control over the area and reduce security incidents, while authorities are taking steps to regulate a permanent presence at the site.

The newspaper did not disclose further details about how the project would be implemented or its timeline.

The revelation has raised questions about the project’s underlying security and strategic objectives, as well as its potential implications for the situation in southern Syria.
