AEN, July 02 (YPA) – Armed forces affiliated with Saudi-backed authorities on Wednesday abducted political activist and supporter of the “dissolved” Southern Transitional Council (STC in the city of Aden and took him to the city’s security investigation prison.
The abduction reportedly came after he launched an anti-Saudi graffiti campaign in the city of Aden and shared images of graffiti on his Facebook account.

The incident comes amid an escalation in arrests and armed pursuit campaigns by Saudi-backed forces in the provinces of Aden and Lahj against activists and supporters of the STC.
Earlier, four activists in Lahj were summoned for questioning on charges of incitement against Saudi Arabia.
Al-Muqrahi’s abduction comes after a similar incident involving activist Ra’fat Al-Saadi in the Al-Mansoura district two days earlier, as well as a raid on the home of officer Yasser Al-Yafei and his reported abduction along with four of his sons last Friday.

The wave of arrests has also expanded to include the head of the so-called “Judges Club” and public funds prosecutor in Lahij Governorate, Hanish Atef Al-Daari, following a military blockade of his home in the Al-Sha’ab area, amid human rights reports indicating the continued pursuit of dozens of activists opposed to the Saudi presence in areas controlled by Saudi-aligned forces.
