ADEN, June 30 (YPA) – The Mansoura district in Aden Governorate witnessed, on Tuesday, popular protests following the arrest of civil activist Raafat al-Saadi by Saudi-backed security forces.
Local sources said that protesters blocked one of the main streets and set fire to car tires in condemnation of the arrest, amid noticeable security tension in the area.
The participants chanted slogans demanding the immediate release of al-Saadi and held the parties that carried out the arrest responsible for his safety.
They also called on the people of Aden to take to the streets and escalate until he is released and arrests outside the legal framework are stopped.
