Video: Amran experiences heavy hail accompanied by rainfall

AMRAN, June 28 (YPA) – The Kharif district in Yemen’s Amran province, north of Sanaa, experienced on Sunday heavy hail accompanied by rainfall, blanketing villages and agricultural areas.

Local activists shared video footage on social media showing thick layers of hail covering roads and areas around homes, giving the region an unusually winter-like appearance.

While Amran and other mountainous areas typically experience seasonal weather changes, residents noted that the intensity of the hailstorm was unusual compared to normal conditions in the region.
