Sanaa’s Deputy FM discusses regional, int’l developments with Russian ambassador

SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, discussed on Thursday via video conference the latest developments on the national, regional, and international arenas during a meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Evgeny Kudrov.

During the meeting, the deputy foreign minister expressed Yemen’s appreciation for Russia’s balanced positions in the UN Security Council regarding the Yemeni file and other regional issues.

He reaffirmed that Yemen is determined to end the aggression, occupation, and blockade that have been ongoing since March 26, 2015, in order to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and secure their legitimate rights to a dignified life and to live in peace.

For his part, the Russian ambassador affirmed his country’s support for efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
