2.8 magnitude earthquake hits Lahj

LAHJ, June 23 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring Center recorded a sudden earthquake in the early hours of Tuesday morning northeast of Al-Anad area in the Tuban district of Lahj Governorate.

The seismic bulletin issued by the center explained that the earthquake occurred at 2:01 AM, and measured 2.8 on the Richter scale.

It added that the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km in the area and is classified as light seismic activity.
