Hebrew media: “Israel” moves to reduce military presence in southern Lebanon

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 22 (YPA) – Hebrew media, citing Israeli sources, reported on Monday evening that the Israeli occupation army is expected to reduce the number pf its ground forces deployed in southern Lebanon.

According to the Israeli public broadcaster Kan, the gradual reduction is attributed to the claim that “offensive operations have largely been completed, and there is no need for all the soldiers currently stationed in the security buffer zone.”

Kan also reported another reason for the expected drawdown, noting a scheduled meeting this week between Israeli and Lebanese negotiating delegations, where experimental zones in southern Lebanon are expected to be defined.
