BEIRUT, June 18 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health declared on Thursday that the death toll from ongoing Israeli aggressive on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,912 killed and 11,873 injured.
In its daily report published by the Lebanese National News Agency, the ministry said 28 people were killed and 17 others wounded in the past 24 hours.
It also noted that casualties among healthcare workers have reached 133 killed and 402 injured, following 172 Israeli aggressive attacks on ambulances and medical teams.
Meanwhile, the agency reported that one Lebanese citizen was killed and another seriously injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle near the town of Kafr Tabnit in southern Lebanon.
The agency also said an Israeli drone dropped an explosive device on the town of Beit Yahoun in southern Lebanon, injuring two people.
Southern Lebanon has continued to witness an escalation, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, and other attacks, amid ongoing tensions along the border.
Since March 2, the Israeli aggressive has have intensified across Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people, many of whom remain outside formal shelters.
Although a temporary ceasefire took effect in mid-April, reports indicate continued daily violations.
