Hanzala group breaches Mossad communications, accesses to sensitive intelligence data

TEHRAN, June 12 (YPA) – A cyber group known as the “Hanzala Cyber Group” declared on Thursday that it had breached communications linked to current and former officials of Israeli occupation’s intelligence agency Mossad, alleging access to sensitive data related to cyber operations.

In a statement, the group said the intrusion reached senior levels within the agency and included monitoring communications and discussions involving cybersecurity officials, as well as obtaining information about alleged operational planning.

It added that it had tracked a meeting in “Tel Aviv” involving former Mossad deputy director for strategic planning, Laura Gelinsky, and a current cybersecurity official, saying it reviewed the content of their discussions from start to finish. These claims could not be independently verified.

The group also said it disrupted the planned offensive cyber operations targeting infrastructure in the region, and published an image it said was taken from the personal phone of a former intelligence official as evidence of its access.

In earlier statements, it claimed responsibility for additional cyber operations targeting the occupation’s radar systems and other military-linked networks, as well as alleging further incidents involving senior intelligence personnel.

The group also issued warnings to regional actors it accuses of supporting the occupation, stating that its activities extend across borders and target strategic economic and security infrastructure.
