GAZA, June 11 (YPA) – Member of Hamas political bureau, Hossam Badran, said that ongoing talks between Palestinian factions in Cairo are progressing positively and constructively, with notable areas of agreement that could serve as a foundation for further steps.
In remarks carried by the Sanad News Agency, Badran stated that the factions have reached consensus on a unified national position regarding the proposed roadmap related to the implementation of the second phase of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan.
He added that discussions with mediators are continuing in a positive and responsible atmosphere aimed at ensuring the success of the negotiations, protecting Palestinian civilians, and countering Israeli occupation’s objectives.
Badran said the current round of talks has achieved tangible progress, while stressing the need for Israel to halt violations in Gaza and fully adhere to its commitments under the agreement framework.
Last Friday, the Hamas delegation, led by Khalil al-Hayya, arrived in Cairo and began a new round of negotiations with Egyptian mediators and other parties involved.
