BEIRUT, June 09 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces have intensified aggressive operations in Lebanon on Tuesday, carrying out a series of airstrikes and artillery attacks across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa region, resulting in casualties and damage in several locations.
According to Lebanese media reports, Israeli drone and air attacks targeted the towns of Mashghara, Ansariya, Sajd, Jebshit, and Kafra, as well as agricultural areas near Tyre and locations between the towns of Khiam and Kfar Kila.
The reports added that the occupation’s artillery shelling struck the Doha Kfarman area, while airstrikes also targeted the Al-Buss Palestinian refugee camp and a residential neighborhood in the city of Tyre.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a preliminary assessment that a strike on a residential area in Tyre killed eight people and injured 32 others.
The escalation comes amid continued cross-border hostilities between Israeli occupation and Hezbollah, which has continued to carry out attacks against Israeli military positions along the border.
