TEHRAN, June 08 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that the Ramat David Airbase, which served as the launch point for Zionist attacks on the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, has been targeted, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reported.
In a statement, the IRGC Public Relations Department declared: “In response to the extensive crimes of the usurping Zionist regime in southern Lebanon, including the massacre and mass displacement of the oppressed people of the Tyre and Nabatieh regions as well as the Dahiyeh, district of Beirut, the Ramat David Airbase—the origin of these aggressions—was hit by ballistic missiles launched by the IRGC Aerospace Force.”
The statement further noted: “Iran’s acceptance of a ceasefire on April 8 was conditional on a cessation of hostilities on all fronts. However, as always, the United States and the Zionist regime failed to uphold their commitments. Not only did they continue their acts of aggression and atrocities in Lebanon, but they also repeatedly violated the ceasefire by harassing Iranian vessels and coastlines in the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.”
The statement added: “Tonight’s operation was merely a warning. If aggressions are repeated, the responses will be more extensive and will encompass all American-Zionist targets across the region.”
