Hezbollah denies Israeli allegations regarding ‘Tibnin’ Hospital

BEIRUT, June 04 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah on Wednesday rejected Israeli occupation military allegations concerning the Tibnin Governmental Hospital, dismissing them as “lies and fabrications” intended to justify attacks on the country’s healthcare sector.

In an official statement, Hezbollah said the Israeli claims aim to provide political and media cover for targeting medical facilities and personnel, which it characterized as a violation of international humanitarian law.

Hezbollah added that the allegations constitute a direct threat to Lebanese health institutions, referencing a recent strike near the Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre that forced it out of service.

The Israeli military had previously alleged that Hezbollah utilized the Tibnin facility for military logistics, including the transport of casualties during the ongoing conflict—a claim the Lebanese Hezbollah strongly denies.

Hezbollah called on the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to protect civilian infrastructure.

The dispute comes amid worsening conditions for the Lebanese healthcare sector; as the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health recently reported multiple casualties among paramedics and damage to medical facilities due to ongoing airstrikes in southern Lebanon.

Neither the Israeli military nor international oversight bodies have independently verified the claims regarding the hospital’s usage.
