Ghalibaf: “Iran will accept no deal without full guarantees of its rights”

TEHRAN, May 31 (YPA) – Speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said Iran would not accept any agreement unless the rights of the Iranian people are fully guaranteed, stressing that Tehran evaluates negotiations based on tangible results rather than promises or statements.

Speaking at the opening of the third year of Iran’s 12th parliament, Ghalibaf said Iranian diplomacy is focused on translating military and field achievements into political and legal gains, adding that Iranian negotiators do not rely on assurances from their counterparts.

He also stated that Iran continues to face economic and media pressure, as well as attempts to fuel internal divisions, emphasizing that national unity remains a key factor in confronting challenges and thwarting such efforts.

Ghalibaf called for preserving domestic cohesion and setting aside political disputes, saying that the country’s priorities should focus on addressing key issues, strengthening economic stability, and improving living conditions.

Meanwhile, Yadollah Javani noted Iran is negotiating from a position of strength, stressing that the country’s military capabilities remain prepared to respond to any escalation and warning that any miscalculation by its adversaries would be met with a stronger response.
