Palestinian Health Ministry: 16 killed, 39 injured due to Israeli genocide in Gaza within 48 hours

GAZA, May 28 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war has risen to 72,819, with 172,894 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on the number of victims resulting from the Israeli aggression on the Strip, the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that Gaza hospitals received 16 martyrs and 39 wounded in the past 48 hours.

The Ministry revealed that since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025, the total number of martyrs killed by Israeli occupation fire has reached 922, the total number of wounded is 2,786, and the total number of martyrs whose bodies have been recovered is 781.

The Ministry added, “A number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them at this time.”
