BEIRUT, May 25 (YPA) – About 3,185 people have been killed and 9,633 others injured as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Monday.
According to the ministry’s daily statistical update published via the National News Agency, 34 civilians were killed and 62 others wounded over the past 24 hours alone.
Since the beginning of the escalation, Israeli occupation’s strikes have targeted towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure across Lebanon, resulting in significant casualties and the displacement of an estimated 1.5 million people, many of whom are not registered in official shelters.
The report also stated that the number of health care workers killed has reached 124, with 303 others injured, following 154 reported attacks on ambulance teams and medical personnel by Israeli forces.
Although a temporary ceasefire came into effect in mid-April, the ministry noted that violations of the agreement have continued on a daily basis.
