Sayyed Abdul-Malik: boycott is an important weapon against enemies

SANAA, May 23 (YPA) –The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, has said that economic pressure and boycott are being used by the enemies as a major weapon against the nation, warning that dependence on adversaries for basic needs, especially food, leaves countries vulnerable to political and economic blackmail.

In a lecture, Sayyed al-Houthi said the United States and Israeli occupation entity recognise the importance of the boycott as a weapon, and employ it efficiently in confrontation and conflict against the Yemeni nation.

He added that such measures had been used against several countries, including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Cuba, as well as other states around the world.

Sayyed al-Houthi noted that the enemies have effectively used economic boycotts against the Islamic nation, while Muslim countries have failed to benefit from the same tool despite its significant impact.

He added that most Arab governments are among the most committed to boycott policies aligned with US interests and directed against Islamic countries.

Sayyed al-Houthi added that the situation of the Islamic nation would have been “vastly different” if Arab and Islamic governments adhered to the teachings of the Qur’an as strictly as they follow American policies and decisions.

According to al-Houthi, Gulf countries are among the largest consumers of products linked to multinational companies supporting “Israel”, adding that some states openly promote goods produced by Israeli companies.

The Leader explained that a significant portion of Arab wealth and resources in the Islamic world ultimately flows to the enemies, stressing that boycotting their products would support local economic development by boosting labour, raw materials, and domestic production across Islamic countries.

Sayyed al-Houthi affirmed that economic boycott is a responsibility that does not cause harm when implemented in practice through reliance on alternative products, calling on media outlets and channels to highlight its impact and importance of economic boycott.

He concluded by stressing that economic boycott is a major responsibility of the entire nation and remains a tool available to all people in confronting enemies.
