GAZA, May 23 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement on its 226th day across various areas of the Gaza Strip, carrying out artillery and missile strikes that left several Palestinians injured, while also demolishing homes in the eastern part of the territory.
Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces opened fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Friday, coinciding with low-altitude drone activity over the city.
They added that illumination flares were fired east of Gaza City, alongside artillery shelling and reported demolition operations in the same area.
On Friday, two civilians were injured in an Israeli strike on the central Al-Bureij refugee camp, according to the same sources.
Evacuation warnings were also issued for several homes and shelters in the Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaz
Since the ceasefire (October 11), the total number of those killed has reached 883, in addition to 2,648 injuries, and 776 bodies recovered.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, the total number of those killed has reached 72,775, with 172,750 injured.
