AMRAN, May 22 (YPA) – Security forces in the Qaflat Uthar district of Yemen’s northern Amran governorate have arrested four men suspected in the killing of a local policeman, according to local authorities.
The Sanaa-based Interior Ministry’s media office said the suspects—identified as Ali Muhammad Muhammad Rafe’e, Aseer Hamoud Al-Awak Rafe’e, Hussein Amer Hamoud Al-Awak Rafe’e, and Saif Muhammad Ali Rafe’e—were apprehended following a targeted security campaign and investigation in the Al-Ablam area.
The suspects are accused of opening fire on Private Ahmad Hamoud Baqi Rafe’e on May 10, inflicting a fatal gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. Authorities stated that the four detainees have been referred to legal proceedings ahead of a formal prosecution.
