Infant dies, 3 others injured in fire at displaced persons’ tent in Gaza

GAZA, May 21 (YPA) – A baby girl died and three other Palestinians were injured on Thursday in a fire that engulfed a tent sheltering displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the baby, Rahil Abu Jammous, died and three others were injured in a fire that broke out in a tent in the Balata market in the camp.

The ongoing Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has destroyed more than 90 percent of the Gaza Strip, forcing its residents to flee and live in camps for displaced persons and refugees, under extremely difficult conditions as a result of the Zionist aggression and siege.
