Sanaa, Moscow discuss latest regional, international developments

SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahed Abu Ras discussed the latest local, regional, and international developments during a video call with Russian Ambassador to Yemen Yevgeny Koudrov.

During the phone call, Abu Ras affirmed the strength of historical relations between Yemen and Russia and stressed efforts to expand cooperation across various fields.

He praised Russia’s balanced stance regarding the aggression on Yemen, as well as its continued calls for peace and stability in the country.

Abu Ras also commended Russia’s position on the Palestinian cause, the Israeli enemy’s aggression against Lebanon, and the US–Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

For his part, the Russian ambassador reaffirmed Moscow’s support for efforts aimed at achieving peace in Yemen and its backing of humanitarian initiatives to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
