Israeli occupation forces arrest several Palestinians in West Bank raids

WEST BANK, May 10 (YPA) –Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of Palestinians during raids across the occupied West Bank early on Sunday, as troops carried out widespread incursions, deployed heavily in several areas and took positions on the rooftops of residential buildings.

In the southern West Bank city of Hebron, occupation forces raided the towns of Sa’ir, al-Dhahiriya, Surif and Halhul, conducting house searches and arresting several young men during the operations.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli troops entered the city of Nablus and the Ras al-Ain area, while also raiding Balata refugee camp east of the city. Military reinforcements were deployed through the Huwwara checkpoint during the incursions.

In Tulkarm province, Israeli forces raided the town of Attil north of the city, arresting Ziad Odeh Allah and his four sons after storming their home.

In Qalqilya province, troops entered the towns of Habla and Hajja, carrying out house searches and raids.

They also raided the town of al-Silah al-Harithiya in Jenin province, where several homes were searched.

In Tubas province, troops stormed the town of Tayasir east of the city and conducted house raids.

In Jericho, Israeli forces stormed the city and fired sound bombs while deploying troops in several neighbourhoods.

These raids come amid a continued escalation across the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces have intensified military operations, movement restrictions, and home invasions in recent weeks.
