TEHRAN, May 07 (YPA) – The Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization announced a state of maritime alert on Thursday, confirming its full readiness to provide comprehensive logistical, technical, and medical support to commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
In a series of urgent radio dispatches broadcasted via VHF networks, Iranian authorities informed ship captains that national ports are prepared to intervene and assist around the clock. These services include technical maintenance, refueling, and emergency medical care for maritime crews.
Tehran emphasized that this strategic move aligns with its sovereign responsibility to safeguard international navigation and ensure the security of transit through the Strait—a vital artery for global trade and energy supplies.
