President condemns assassination attempt of Venezuelan President

 SANAA, Aug. 5 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, on Sunday  expressed his condemnation of the assassination attempt of Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, on Saturday during a military ceremony in the Venezuelan capital Caracas.

In a cable sent to President Nicolás, Mr. al-Mashat affirmed Yemen’s solidarity with the Venezuelan President, his government and people, stressing that the attempts to assassinate the leaders of the anti-American and Zionist countries in the world is a recurring phenomenon.

Mr. President expressed his wishes to the Venezuelan President for health, congratulating the Venezuelan people on the safety of the President and the staff of his government, wishing the speedy recovery of the injured.

Mr. President praised the role played by Venezuela in solidarity with the vulnerable peoples and against the forces of hegemony and arrogance global, especially America.
