BEIRUT, May 2 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said in its daily report on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen to 2,659.
The Lebanese National News Agency published the daily health report, revealing that within the past 24 hours alone, 41 more martyrs and 89 injured civilians have been added to the toll.
The ministry added that the number of injuries since the start of the offensive on March 2 has increased to 8,183.
Multiple Israeli strikes were reported across southern Lebanon in recent hours, targeting several towns and villages, according to local sources.
Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting Jmeijmeh, Ghandourieh, Doueir, and Bayyada, while drones struck the town of Al-Samiyeh.
Two additional strikes were reported in the town of Abba.
Further aerial bombardments targeted Yatar, Zawtar Al-Sharqiya and Shuqra. Israeli artillery also shelled the Al-Mansouri junction and the village of Yohmor al-Shaqif. Reports said phosphorus munitions were used in the latter strike.
The strikes come amid ongoing tensions despite a ceasefire agreement, raising concerns about civilian safety in the region.
