Iranian Foreign Ministry: American people have right to hold their leaders accountable for “illegal war” against Iran

TEHRAN, May 02 (YPA) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, stated on Friday evening that the American people have the absolute right, and indeed a sacred duty, to hold their ruling authorities accountable for launching an “illegal war” against Iran and for all the atrocities committed during it.

In a post on the “X” platform, Baghaei described the conflict as a “war of choice” and a clear, unjustified act of aggression. He supported his statement with a video clip of a U.S. Congresswoman confirming that there was no Iranian threat directed at America.

On February 28, America and the Zionist entity began a new aggression against Iran that lasted 40 days, resulting in the deaths of thousands of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques and other assets of the Iranian people.

In response, Tehran launched Operation “True Promise 4” against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
