Gaza hospitals receive five fatalities amid ongoing Israeli attacks on the Strip

GAZA, April 29 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that hospitals across the Gaza Strip received five fatalities over the past 24 hours, including one body recovered from the rubble, in addition to seven wounded as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks.

The ministry stated that since the ceasefire declared on October 11, the number of people killed by Israeli occupation fire has reached 823, while 2,308 others have been injured. It added that 763 bodies have also been recovered during the same period.

According to the latest figures, the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has risen to 72,599, with a total of 172,411 people wounded.

The ministry further noted that many victims remain still trapped beneath collapsed buildings or lying in streets and inaccessible areas, as ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach them.
