Damascus strongly condemns Venezuela Maduro assassination attempt

SANAA, Aug. 5 (YPA) – The Syrian foreign minister on Sunday condemned strongly in a statement Saturday  assassination attempt  Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, Syrian official agency SANA said.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro survived an alleged assassination attempt via drone on Saturday when a flying device carrying explosives detonated during a speech he was delivering in Caracas.

“The attempt aimed to destabilize the security and stability of the country,” the statement added.
