Araghchi returns to Islamabad to convey Iran’s “conditions” for ending war

ISLAMABAD, April 26 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on Sunday evening for a surprise visit—his second within 48 hours—following a brief stop in Muscat, Oman.

According to Tasnim News Agency, the visit aim is to conclude regional consultations and formally relay Iran’s conditions for ending the war to Pakistan in its capacity as a mediating state.

The agency explained that the issues raised by Araqchi include topics such as: implementing a new legal framework for the Strait of Hormuz, securing reparations and guarantees against future military aggression, and lifting naval blockades and strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan.

Iranian media sources emphasized that Araghchi’s unexpected return is unrelated to nuclear negotiations, focusing instead on intensive diplomatic efforts to address current regional crises.
