Casualties reported in Gaza as Israeli occupation forces commit nine violations

GAZA, April 23 (YPA) – One Palestinian man was killed and several others were injured early Thursday as Israeli occupation forces committed nine violations of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources reported that Yahya Abu Shalhoub was killed and three others were injured after an Israeli drone targeted the slaughterhouse area south of Khan Younis.

The same sources added that several areas in Khan Younis witnessed low-altitude drone flights early Thursday, followed by further breaches of the ceasefire.

Israeli artillery shelled eastern parts of Khan Younis at dawn, with renewed bombardment reported later in the same areas. Military vehicles also opened fire toward eastern areas of the city.

In southern Gaza, Israeli forces reportedly fired machine guns toward the Mawasi area west of Rafah. Meanwhile, demolitions of homes and civilian structures were reported east of Gaza City.

Heavy gunfire was also reported east of the Shujaiya neighborhood and other eastern districts of Gaza City, coinciding with additional artillery shelling targeting those areas.
