Iran raises military readiness, updates target bank in anticipation of war scenario

TEHRAN, April 21 (YPA) – The Iranian “Tasnim” news agency reported that the country’s armed forces have raised their combat readiness level as the temporary truce expires this Monday, amid escalating US threats and a deadlock in the negotiation process.

Media sources confirmed the preparation of “surprises” and an updated “target bank” to counter a potential return to war, a scenario Tehran now views as “likely.”

Iran attributed the political impasse to the US naval blockade and what it described as Washington’s “excessive demands.”

Iranian state television denied sending any official delegations to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, dismissing international reports of upcoming meetings.

This mobilization comes amid international anticipation regarding the fate of the two-week ceasefire between Iran, the United States, and Israeli entity, with no official indications of an extension so far.
