TEHRAN, April. 20 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei expressed his lack of confidence in the American side regarding the ceasefire negotiations on Monday, considering that it “has long betrayed diplomacy.”
Baghaei explained in televised remarks that Tehran has not received any serious offer regarding lifting the sanctions against it, and that the indications confirm the lack of seriousness on the part of the American side to proceed with the diplomatic track.
He pointed out that everything that is happening in the Strait of Hormuz is a result of American-Israeli aggression, noting that the American side broke its promise regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon despite accepting it.
Baqai stressed that protecting national interests would continue as long as the need existed, and that in the event of any “new adventure” by the United States or Israel, the armed forces would respond “with full force and resolve.”
